Who it's for

  • Complete beginners or people new to web development
  • You can practice 3 - 5 hours a week between sessions
  • 16 or older

About the bootcamp

  • Learn HTML, CSS, and programming fundamentals with JavaScript
  • Build your own website and put it online

Run by volunteer developers at Cambridge Dev Lab (Massachusetts nonprofit). We've hosted over 150 sessions since October 2024, taught the Cambridge Public Library's first web development workshop series, and ran the coding sessions for the Moore Youth Center's teen internship.

Requirements

  • Come to all 8 Saturdays (miss at most one).
  • Do the starter class with us at one session before we start, bring a laptop if you have one: Sat Sep 19 (9:30 - 11:30 am, come at 9:30), or Mon Sep 14, Wed Sep 16, Mon Sep 21 or Wed Sep 23 (5:30 - 8 pm, arrive by 6:30). About an hour and a half, no experience needed; it covers sections 1.1 - 1.6 of the program.

How to apply

Fill in the form by Sep 23. We reply by email after your starter class, by Sep 24 at the latest. Seats may fill earlier. We'll say so on the form. 12 seats.
